1. HAUNTED PUMPKIN GARDEN
The Everett Children’s Garden is the place to enjoy the thrills and chills of the season when it hosts parties, parades, bats and bugs! The fun lasts from Oct. 6-31, but there’s a special treat on Oct. 29, when master carver Ray Villafane of the Food Network transforms humongous pumpkins into zombies and other scary creatures. 10am-6pm Tuesdays-Sundays. 2. PUMPKIN PATCH – UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF MOUNT KISCO
The Pumpkin Patch returns to Mount Kisco for the eleventh year and the sale begins on October 5th. The Pumpkin Patch is open Sunday-Friday, noon-6:30pm and Saturdays 10am-6:30pm. A fundraiser for the ministry and missions of the church, the Pumpkin Patch has become a community-wide event, especially the work of unloading the trucks, which will take place on October 4th starting at 4:30 p.m., and then again on October 19th at 4:30 p.m..

3. STAMFORD HARVEST FESTIVAL WEEKEND
This festival features all the traditional fall activities, such as hayrides, pumpkin carving and costume parades, but offers a few exceptional extras, including an apple slingshot and farm animal demonstrations. 11am-3pm, Oct. 20 and Oct. 21. $10 adults, $5 children. 4. FOLIAGE APPRECIATION WALK
Hike through some of the best foliage viewing spots in the county and see purple tupelos, red and orange oaks and yellow birch leaves. 1pm. For all ages. FREE. Cranberry Lake Preserve, White Plains. westchestergov.com.

5. FALL FESTIVAL AT THE ANTURE CENTER
Build a scarecrow, carve a pumpkin, make some cider and have a blast at this seasonal celebration! The whole family can enjoy the day’s activities, which include a scavenger hunt, petting zoo, tractor rides and live music. 11am-4pm. $10 (plus $1 to build a scarecrow or carve a pumpkin).
