Local Indoor Winter Activities for Young Children

When the colder weather hits, meeting up at the local playground with other children to run and play can prove a little more difficult. Fortunately, Westchester is home to several child focused music and movement programs that offer an opportunity for children to socialize, let out energy and be creative.

Jodi’s Gym

Jodi’s Gym offers classes for kids nine months and up. They host a wide variety of mommy and me type gymnastic classes and even offer Krazy Kool Creations, a class designed for children who love to build with Legos!

The Little Gym

The Little Gym is home to non-competitive gymnastics programs that build motor skills through a progressive curriculum and music. The Little Gym offers classes for children as young as four months and as old as age three.

The Yoga Sanctuary

The Yoga Sanctuary hosts an Itsy Bitsy Yoga for Tots which was created by an Infant Developmental Movement Educator who is also a yoga teacher and a mom. The classes emphasize fun and focus on easy yoga poses.
